Recipe from Gapeteria
My work shared this recipe during the early days of Work from Home. While they look like run-of-the-mill biscuits, these biscuits are flaky, mouthwatering and absolutely delicious. The secret is freezing your butter and then grating it into your batter. Game changing!
3 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 TBS + 1 Tsp Baking Powder
1 TBS Salt
1/2 TSB Baking Soda
1 Cup Butter
1 1/3 Cup Buttermilk
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Mix Well.
Put butter in the freezer for 15 minutes. Use a large box grater to grate butter into dry ingredients
Quickly and lightly- mix in butter to dry ingredients
Slowly mix in buttermilk with spoon until all ingredients are well combined. Be sure not to over mix.
Scoop or spoon 2.5 oz portions of biscuit mix onto a sheet pan or baking sheet.
Bake in 400 degree oven for 12 minutes or until golden brown
